SnagIt
Introduction
SnagIt is a screen capture software package that replaces and greatly enhances the default “PrtSrn” key behavior. If you find yourself wanting to capture screen shots of your desktop, applications, games, movies, etc. then this software is for you. It can even record informational software usage videos complete with audio.

Settings
Feel free to download and import my profile settings (unzip to import) to get an idea of what you might or might not like for your own configuration.
Skype Tips
If you are a Skype user, check out the SnagIt Profiles for Skype page to speed up the time it takes to send screenshots to your contacts. Otherwise, you can achieve the same result by following the steps below:
- Click on the Skype profile you want to edit (or create a new one).
- From the Profile Settings area select Output->Properties->Program->Edit.
- Make sure the “Executable to run” is pointing to the full path where Skype is installed.
- Set the “Display name” to: Skype.
- Set the “Parameters” to:
/sendto: "<CaptureFilename>". The result should look something like this:
