Nero originally made its mark by developing excellent CD/DVD burning software but has grown to be a multimedia software tool suite. This page is dedicated to showcasing some of Nero’s capabilities.

Demos
Download and watch a few of the video demos I have put together for showing off some of the capabilities of the software:
- Nero StartSmart Overview (3 minutes, 9.2MB) - The StartSmart application provides an overview and launch point for all applications in the Nero software suite. This demo highlights the features of the StartSmart application.
- Nero Home Overview (2 minutes, 5.4MB) - A media management system that can turn your computer into a showcase for your music, photos, videos, etc. It is also an alternative to Microsoft’s Media Center software. This demo is a walkthrough, highlighting the features of Nero Home.
Development
Nero comes with a powerful but slightly cryptic command line utility called: NeroCmd.exe. This utility comes pre-installed with Nero and allows for command line CD/DVD burning operations. Great for automation of multiple CD/DVD creation. I would strongly suggest downloading the Nero SDK prior to using this utility. Make sure to read the NeroCMDUser PDF to make life easier understanding all the command line options and the right combination to use them in.
