I’ve been noticing a rise in Ruby jobs lately, and by that I mean I see more postings than usual in my feed reader. I thought I’d give a nod to them since there might be fellow Rubyiest out there looking for interesting work:

Thoughtbot - They have several positions available (not all of them for development). Seems like a cool company. Well, I’m fond of their Paperclip gem at least.

Pivotal Labs - Another consulting company with several opportunities. I’ve been revamping some of their code from the Rails 1.2.6 days.

Devver - Seems like an interesting start-up (located in Boulder, CO). I asked them out for drinks once but they didn’t seem thirsty (then again, it was during the holidays, so maybe too much eggnog already).

The Startup Success Podcast - Bob Walsh is looking for someone who eats, sleeps, and drinks Ruby, Rails, and jQuery. Hey, wait, that’s me! Anyway, I’m not sure what he’s up to but it could be fun.

Easy Appointments - A guy I once worked with has a really cool startup idea. I offered to help as long as I could still promote my company and then they stopped talking to me (some people are sooo sensitive). Anyway, if you want to work on a startup with not much money and lots of equity, I can get you in touch with them.

As for me, I’m making sure I’m keeping my current client happy and then spending the rest of my hours on my own start-up: Seasonal Dish.
