Review
A friend of mine sent me a DVD last year of personal travels that had an excellent soundtrack. One of the songs was from Tenacious D. It was so good that it peaked my interest enough to investigate further. So I picked up Tenacious D’s latest release which tells a story of a young boy who eventually masters the art of rock and roll and beats the devil in a jam-a-thon. The guitar riffs are catchy and the lyrics are really funny if you like Jack Black’s sense of humor. Great album, thanks Matthew!

So, while the album might be fine.. the movie is pretty poor. IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365830/) rates it 6.8/10 but in my books it is more like 5/10. I did enjoy the movie as I think Jack Black is hilarious, but it reminded me of Fubar (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0302585/) - certainly not a movie for everyone. If you want to watch Jack Black rock out, check out School of Rock - much more consumable fun for everyone.
