Irreligion

Interesting podcasts that I recommend downloading and listening for yourself. They are:

• The True Nature of Reality by Steve Pavlina
• The Future of Ideas by Sam Harris
• “Misquoting Jesus” - by Bart Ehrman - Terry Gross from NPR’s Fresh Air discusses with Mr. Ehrman the nature of how the Bible was originally recorded and how some scribes omitted and misrepresented facts when writing the Bible.
• “God’s Problem” by Bart Ehrman - Terry Gross from NPR’s Fresh Air discusses with Mr. Ehrman questions about religion and why we suffer.
• “Jesus, Interrupted” by Bart Ehrman - Terry Gross from NPR’s Fresh Air discusses with Mr. Ehrman the many contradictions of the gospel.

The first one by Steve Pavlina, albeit a bit on the edge, opens up your mind for Sam Harris’ thoughts and ideas on religion. All of them are great for thinking about our state of reality outside the scope of religion and taking a more realistic stance on what is and isn’t real.
